The dough should be very soft and light, use a little butter or oil to smoothen the dough. Roll out about 1cm thick, cut rings using a donut cutter or a large round cutter and small round cutter inside. Fry in medium hot oil evenly.
Remove on paper towel. Dip cool donuts in sugar syrup and toss in dessicated coconut or coat with melted chocolate and eat hot!
Tastes best while hot/warm, therefore try making small batches.
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup boiling water
1 cinnamon stick
Boil above for a few minutes until sticky
